Browns fans are a problem. Some fans at home games have brought some truly awful signs and shirts to games after the Deshaun Watson suspension.
The signs and shirts have been vulgar toward women with many obscenities on them. The signs that were made were especially bad. The photo that was taken included a child standing by his dad holding up these signs. And then the shirt wasn’t any better.
The Cleveland Browns will have to get more security guards around the stadium. Fans like that can’t be around their stadium. Not only does it hurt the Browns’ reputation, but it also hurts the reputation of other Browns fans, with some people saying stuff like this:
PSA. Don’t let the few random weirdo fans saying/doing terrible things in Cleveland reflect the whole fan base. The t shirt stunt/the kid & dad holding signs. Majority of the Browns fans are fun & good ppl who are just trying to enjoy football
The Browns have to be enforcing their rules for signs because their rules for them are pretty strict. They just aren’t enforcing it.
“Banners and signs are permitted, but must be in good taste, cannot obstruct another fan’s view and cannot cover any stadium signage. They may not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements. Signs on poles or sticks, constructed of wood or metal material are also not permitted. Fans are permitted to hang banners and signs that adhere to these guidelines along the field wall as long as they do not interfere with any messaging placed by the Browns, their partners or the NFL. Management reserves the right to determine what signs are in violation of stadium policy and confiscate signs that are in violation stadium policy. Out of respect for our fans, all third-party solicitations are strictly prohibited, and no third-party solicitations (whether for charitable, religious, political, commercial or other reasons) will be tolerated in the stadium or on the stadium footprint.”
They have to enforce this. It says that signs must be in good taste, but they aren’t doing anything to enforce that rule.
